Thao and Matthew are excited to invite you to the
Edgewood Resort in South Lake Tahoe for our wedding! We can't wait to celebrate with you.
When is it?
The wedding will be the afternoon of Friday, July 19 beginning at 4:00pm Pacific Time. After an outdoor ceremony, you can expect an indoor cocktail hour, dinner, and a reception running until 10:00pm.
We also expect to have (optional!) informal events in the South Lake Tahoe area on Saturday and Sunday. If you're able to, we encourage arriving the evening of Thursday, July 18 and departing Sunday, July 21.
Where should I stay?
We're working on a hotel block that we encourage you to use. Stay tuned for details in the next few weeks! We suggest waiting to book a hotel until the hotel block is finalized. (South Lake Tahoe has 70+ hotels all within a few miles. They won't run out!)
How do I get there?
From SF Bay Area: it's about a 4 hour drive to Edgewood Resort and South Lake Tahoe. If you're not a driver, we'll do our best to help find a carpool.
Flying in: The Reno airport (RNO) is the closest airport about an hour away. There are several rental agencies at the airport, or cost effective shuttles that go right to South Lake Tahoe. Both Chicago and New York have nonstop flights to Reno.
How do I RSVP?
Official RSVPs will be collected closer to the event! We'll email you when it's RSVP time.
What should I book now?
If you're flying: you can book flights now! We suggest Thurs 7/18 - Sun 7/21.
We suggest waiting to book hotels pending a hotel block.
What should I wear?
Fancy clothes! We encourage using the wedding as a chance to get dressy. 😎✨
What happens if there's bad weather or a fire?
In most cases (rain, storms), we'll move the ceremony indoors and proceed as planned. In the highly unlikely event of a severe fire nearby, Edgewood may reschedule us to another date.
